Mission

Within a safe and respectful environment, the Bridge provides a seasonal shelter for adults as well as opportunities for transitional housing and day labor for adults seeking greater independence.

About

The 2018-2019 season was a transitional year for the Bridge. While the new facility was under construction, we operated the shelter temporarily at a local church. The city provided us a 6 month conditional use permit provided that improvements were made to the church. The fire department also limited the total number of occupancy for the temporary shelter to 30 persons a night, far below our historical numbers. The end result was that we served fewer people than in most years and for the first time, we had to turn people away because we were full. Still, the Bridge managed to serve 294 different people and provided 3,997 bed nights. 220 men and women were served.
