ROADRUNNER CHILD DEVELOPMENT IS A NEW MEXICO FOCUS 5 STAR VERIFIED PRESCHOOL, NON-TRADITIONAL LEARNING AND CHILD CARE FACILITY, WITH AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE OF 30 TO 40 STUDENTS. A FORMAL PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM IS IN PLACE, FOLLOWING THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL YEAR FROM AUGUST TO MAY. THE CURRICULUM IS REVIEWED AND UPDATED ANNUALLY. DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR, TEACHERS CONTINUE TO ENGAGE STUDENTS IN NON- TRADITIONAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES. ROADRUNNER PRODUCES A MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS FOR PARENTS, AND POSTS ITS CURRICULUM WEEKLY FOR PARENTS TO OBSERVE. THE TEACHERS PERFORM OBSERVATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS FOR EACH CHILD THREE TIMES PER YEAR, FOLLOWED BY PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES. TEACHERS WORK WITH PARENTS TO SET EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR EACH CHILD. FOCUS REQUIRES THAT THE PRESCHOOL TEACHERS FOLLOW NEW MEXICO EARLY LEARNING GUIDELINES IN THESE ASSESSMENTS. THE MAJORITY OF ROADRUNNER'S EMPLOYEES ARE FULL-TIME. LEAD TEACHERS ARE LICENSED EDUCATORS, AND ALL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS HAVE THEIR FULL PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE, POWERFUL INTERACTIONS CERTIFICATE, 6 HOUR QUALITY CARE CERTIFICATE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND NUTRITION CERTIFICATE, CPR AND FIRST AID CERTIFICATE. ROADRUNNER ALSO EMPLOYS A TEACHER WITH A MASTER'S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION. ROADRUNNER PROVIDES ITS EMPLOYEES WITH TRAINING AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THEIR OWN EDUCATION GOALS.
