Mission

The mission of Dispute Resolution Institute, Inc. (DRI) is to help people in conflict find common ground, resolve disputes, and reach agreements. We envision a world where mediation and other forms of dispute resolution are the first choice for people in conflict.

About

St. Clair County Foreclosure Mediation Program: DRI administers the St. Clair mandatory mediation program on behalf of the St. Clair County Chief Judge's Office. This mandatory mediation program provides foreclosure education and mediation services to homeowners in foreclosure and their lenders. Every homeowner in St. Clair County has the opportunity to meet with program staff to learn about the foreclosure process, and if they meet the requirements of the local rule, they have the opportunity to sit down with the lender/servicer and their attorney to discuss what options are available to them. DRI has managed this program since it began in January of 2014. Previously the program was funded by a pilot grant program from the Illinois Attorney General's Office, and is now funded by the St. Clair County Foreclosure Mediation Fund.
