ADULT PROGRAMS: STREET SOCCER USA COORDINATED AND DELIVERED PROGRAMMING THAT REACHED OVER 1,000 ADULT PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OVER THE LAST YEAR. OUR LARGEST PROGRAM WAS IN NEW YORK WHERE WE DELIVERED LIFE SKILL TRAINING THROUGH SPORTS TO 340 PARTICIPANTS LIVING IN SHELTERS.WE ALSO HOSTED A NATIONAL STREET SOCCER EVENT WITH 156 PARTICIPANTS FROM OUR SHELTER BASED PROGRAMS IN TWELVE CITIES. THE EVENT TOOK PLACE FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING AT THE CAPITOL MALL IN SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA. FROM THE POOL OF 156 PARTICIPANTS, 8 MEN AND 8 WOMEN WERE SELECTED FOR THE STREET SOCCER USA NATIONAL TEAM THAT TRAVELED TO REPRESENT THE UNITED STATES AT THE HOMELESS WORLD CUP THAT TOOK PLACE IN CARDIFF, WALES. YOUTH PROGRAMS: OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO GROW IN ENGAGEMENT, REACHING NEARLY 8,000 PARTICIPANTS AGES 5-17. WE RENEWED FUNDING FOR OUR NEWEST MARKET, LOS ANGELES, AND HAVE NOW REACHED OVER 1000 PARTICIPANTS IN THAT REGION. YOUTH PARTICIPANTS ALSO TOOK PLACE IN OUR ANNUAL STREET SOCCER USA CUP SERIES WHICH FEATURED MAJOR EVENTS IN TIMES SQUARE, NEW YORK, CAPITOL MALL, SACRAMENTO, AND CIVIC CENTER, SAN FRANCISCO. COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS: STREET SOCCER USA INVOLVED OVER 750 VOLUNTEERS IN OUR PROGRAMMING AND TRAINED A GROUP OF 220 COACHES IN OUR CURRICULUM AND METHODOLOGY AND SUPPLIED ALL OF OUR PROGRAM WITH FREE SOCCER APPAREL AND EQUIPMENT, MOSTLY THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH UNIQLO USA. OVER THE LAST YEAR STREET SOCCER USA REACHED MORE PEOPLE MORE OFTEN AND MADE MORE SOCIAL SERVICE REFERRALS THAN EVER BEFORE.
