More about this organization

Mission

The 5Cities Homeless Coalition is working to strengthen the south San Luis Obispo County community by mobilizing resources, hope and support for the homeless and those facing homelessness.

About

The Coalition assisted families to move from homelessness to a home with deposit and rental assistance. Families struggling financially also were prevented from entering homelessness with short-term rental assistance. Individuals and families seeking help received assistance with food, transportation needs (bus passes, gasoline cards), vehicle repair and registration, utility payments, obtaining identification, and travel expenses for relocation. The Coalition also distributed basic hygiene products, first aid kits, hygiene supplies, clothing, and nutritious snacks.
