Mission
The Yale Polo and Equestrian Center, Inc. promotes educational and competitive equestrian opportunities to students of Yale University as well as individuals who are unaffiliated with Yale University, but are interested in learning about and participating in equestrian activities. Through a full time coach and volunteer coaches and mentors, the Yale Polo and Equestrian Center Inc. provides access to equestrian sports for many people who would not normally be able to learn and participate in horse-related activities. Finally, Yale Polo and Equestrian Center, Inc. raises funds to maintain, manage, and improve the permanent equestrian facility which hosts all of these activities.
About
The majority of expenses for the program are associated with the care and feeding of the horses. The three largest program services all leverage the same horses: riding and polo lessons for high school and college students, and adults; competitive game and tournament experience for interscholastic and intercollegiate teams; education about the care and maintenance of horses.
