North American Humanitarian Aid & Relief (NAHAR) is a not-for-profit organization that provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, developmental assistance, and program services to vulnerable population of Bangladesh and disaster areas in the United States.
About
One of the major achievements of the organization was emergency relief to refugees that has crossed the border to Bangladesh (Coxs Bazar) from Rakhine State (Myanmar). The speed and scale of the influx of refugees into Bangladesh has resulted in a critical humanitarian emergency. Emergency relief provided by the organization included pure water supply, safe sanitation, and free medical camp. The organization also provided emergency relief to areas affected by flood in Bangladesh by sponsoring families with boats, domestic animals and other means to earn their livelihood. Other achievements of the organization includes sponsorships for orphans, disability care, and health care to the victims of disasters and areas in Bangladesh where people are extremely poor.
