More about this organization

Mission

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

About

The organization served youth in the sixth through twelfth grades. The organization offers programs such as Cowboy Ethics, Keystone, Triple Play, and Junior Staff to build character and leadership. The organization provides health and life skills, as well as sports and recreation through programs such as: Smart Moves, PGA Golf, SPARK, and other high yield activities. Educational and career programs include: Financial Literacy, Career Launch, Power Hour (tutoring and homework assistance), Graduate for Mas, and Net Smartz (cyber safety). Music Makers is a popular program which enables youth to express themselves through various musical instruments. The organization also honors youth throughout the year by awarding a "Youth of the Month" to a deserving member. The organization also provides a Mentoring Program for the community through a partnership with a local government agency. The program fosters safe, caring relationships with adults, develops character, and offers hope and opportunity to youth in need of supportive relationships. Mentees who have been matched with a mentor have decreased behavioral referrals and truancy issues. Some have maintained or increased their grade point average since being matched. A majority believe they have adequate adult support.
