UP Education Network (formerly Unlocking Potential Inc.) is one of the few school management organizations in the country successfully tackling the challenges of in-district school turnaround. Our mission is to rapidly transform chronically underperforming district schools into extraordinary schools that sustain high achievement over time. We work in partnership with our families and communities to transform schools into exceptional learning environments where students cultivate their sharp minds, share their kind hearts, and explore their path and potential so that they succeed on the path to college and pursue their passions.

UP EDUCATION NETWORK IS ONE OF THE FEW SCHOOL MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTRY SUCCESSFULLY TACKLING THE CHALLENGES OF IN-DISTRICT SCHOOL TURNAROUND. UP HAS RESTARTED AND CONTINUES TO MANAGE THREE SCHOOLS IN BOSTON AND TWO SCHOOLS IN LAWRENCE, SERVING 2,650 OF THE STATE'S HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED STUDENTS. LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE A KEY PARTNER IN UP'S WORK TO TRANSFORM CHRONICALLY UNDERPERFORMING DISTRICT SCHOOLS INTO EXTRAORDINARY SCHOOLS. UP EDUCATION NETWORK IS A WINNER OF NEW SCHOOLS VENTURE FUND "EDUCATION REFORM ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR" IN RECOGNITION OF OUR EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS. A RECENT STUDY IN THE AMERICAN ECONOMIC REVIEW BY RESEARCHERS AT MIT FOUND THAT UP DELIVERS EXCEPTIONALLY LARGE, CAUSAL IMPACT FOR OUR STUDENTS IN BOTH MATH AND ELA.
