Mission
MHI is dedicated to respond and provide relief to pregnant women and children in areas where the burden of mortality is the highest. We are committed to reducing maternal, infant and child mortality rates by creating culturally competent and sustainable birth centers using the midwifery model of care. Through the provision of education, structural support and reduction of barriers to high quality care, we partner with communities to create system level change.
About
Served over 3500 women in Uganda and Kenya for prenatal care and nutrition counseling, education, postpartum follow up, supporting local midwives in safe labor and delivery and post partum care.
