Accomplishments
- New life say yes center, inc. is an afterschool ministry for kindergarten through high school students operating the full academic year for students in the vine city and english ave. neighborhoods of atlanta ga. approximately 20 students either walk or are transported to the center after school three to four days per week. the students receive a wholesome snack and then move into bible time. the students then move into homework time in whcih they are tutored in groups of two or three by volunteers. when homework is complete the students participate in a variety of enrichment activities including art, reading, computer, educational games, and music. the students then have free time for outdoor activities or indoor games. the day is concluded with dinner brought by volunteers. the students are walked or transported home. at the center conseling is also available to students and parents as needed. during the summer the center runs a modified program, two hours a day three days a week. educational activities take place two days a week and on the third day the students are taken to local museamus, parks and activities.
