Students Matter promotes access to quality public education through impact litigation, communications and advocacy. Students Matter fights for education equality in the court of law and in the court of public opinion, where students rights and voices matter most.

About

Students Matter is continuing the effort to reform broken teacher tenure, dismissal, layoff, and evaluation laws. After stewarding the landmark Vergara v. California case through the courts, the organization is leading the effort to craft new teacher workforce policies that prioritize quality teaching for all students.Students Matter launched Martinez v. Malloy, an education equality case in federal court. Based in Connecticut, a state with one of the largest achievement gaps in the nation, the case seeks to eliminate barriers for students to attend high-quality magnet, charter, and traditional schools, and aims to expand protection for children in all schools.
