Creative Startups Winston-Salem: The Center for Creative Economy hosted the Creative Accelerator for the third consecutive year. The organization markets to creative businesses locally, as well as across the Southeast and internationally. The intensive 8-week program delivers 12 modules of high impact business skill training via online platform followed by a week-long deep dive where all participants come to Winston Salem, NC for an immersive in person experience. The accelerator pairs startups with mentors to critically analyze their business models, and are provided tools and training in entrepreneurship, marketing, financials, legal, investor strategy, and pitching. The deep dive final week concludes with a public demo night open to the community, and a pitch competition where three companies are chosen to split $50,000 in seed stage capital.
