Mission
The mission of Think beyond the chair is to expand social and educational understanding for people with disabilities. This is done by utilizing peer mentoring, violence prevention, sports, and various recreational and social involvement activities. We utilize these activities to foster and expand comfort levels, interpersonal skills and relations within a social context. We also recognize and support the goal of educating society on the importance of universal accessibility and ADA compliance. Think beyond the chair strives to build confidence, independence and role models so that other people can go forward with our common goals. Services: 1. Mentoring to empower-peer mentoring 2. Violence prevention 3. Social involvement 4. Moivaional speakers. 5. Advocacy 6. Recreational and sports activies
