Mission

The specific purpose of this corporation shall be to host financial readiness and education events and to provide resources, education, and inspiration for military members, veterans, and their families, and to carry on other charitable and educational activities associated with this goal as allowed by law.

About

Heroes at Home provided free financial education, reaching 1 million military members, veterans and their families via live events, blogs, podcasts, radio and television. Currently, 95% of all donations went directly to programs that support these initiatives in helping military members navigate complex issues such as the thrift savings plan, blended retirement system and the savings deposit program. Amongst the live events we served in 2018 were 15 presentations at 8 bases in four countries. Our four, top level, national speakers covered topics such as budgeting, saving, retirement, credit scores, marriage and money, wise ways to purchase vehicles, rainy day savings and how to avoid predatory lenders. The non-profit acquired 4000 financial books to give away at these events. The feedback amongst the military community has been very positive and we were asked for repeat visits to many of the bases we toured.
