OXFORD SENIOR CITIZENS, INC. HAD OVER 520 MEMBERS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019. MEMBERS ARE ABLE TO COME TO THE CENTER TO EXERCISE, TAKE CLASSES IN A VARIETY OF SUBJECTS, SOCIALIZE AND RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE AGING NETWORK. MEMBERS RECEIVE A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER LISTING ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH. IN ADDTION TO ACTING AS A GATHERING PLACE, OXFORD SENIOR CITIZENS, INC. IS CONTRACTED WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY FUNDING SOURCES TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO HELP INDIVIDUALS REMAIN INDEPENDENT IN THEIR OWN HOMES. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE: SENIOR TRANSPORTATION, HOME DELIVERED MEALS, CONGREGATE MEALS SERVED AT THE TOP OF THE HILL CAFE, AND ADULT DAY CARE. THE ORGANIZATION DOES NOT RECEIVE GOVERNMENTAL SUPPORT FOR ITS OUTREACH EFFORTS OF PROVIDING HELP FOR OLDER ADULTS AND/OR THEIR FAMILIES TO NAVAGATE THE AGING NETWORK NOR DOES IT RECEIVE SUCH FUNDING FOR THE ACTIVITIES AND CLASSES HELD AT THE SENIOR CENTER. IN THE FISCAL YEAR OF 2018-19, OXFORD SENIOR CITIZENS, INC. STAFF, AND 350 VOLUNTEERS, PROVIDED 3,486 CONGREGATE MEALS; 14,044 HOME DELIVERD MEALS; 6,319 ONE-WAY RIDES; HAD 2,606 CONTACTS AT ITS ADULT DAY CARE; 16,817 CONTACTS DURING ITS ACTIVITIES AND CLASSES; 807 HOURS OF OUTREACH; 90 HOURS OF CAREGIVER COUNSELING; AND 227 HOURS OF WELLNESS AND RECREATION SERVICES.
