Built in 1994, this 12 unit apartment development at 22713774 Ashton Road in a suburban area of East Columbus provides safe, affordable housing to lowincome persons disabled with mental illness. Awarded the national affordable housing management association's community of quality award in 2003, this program collaborates with local community mental health agencies to link residents to case management, counseling and treatment, vocational services, transportation assistance and other services to allow residents to remain stable in their housing. In 2018, 12 of the 13 disabled, low income persons served (92.3%) either remained housed in the program or exited to other permanent housing. On average, residents have stayed housed in the program for close to 7 years.
