About

Network Housing 96 provides 20 units of safe, affordable housing for low-income individuals and families with a disabled head of household. The project consists of an apartment building at 22172227 Holt Avenue in North Columbus, providing a total of 15 units (5 one-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom units), and five scattered-site three-bedroom houses in south and southwest Columbus. The Holt Avenue apartments has a part-time, live-in resident manager with social work experience who monitors residents' independent living, provides crisis intervention, facilitates individual and group meetings with residents and support providers, assists with property maintenance, and fosters good community relations. To provide services to the five families living in the houses, the program collaborates with local community mental health agencies to link residents to case management, counseling and treatment, vocational services, transportation assistance and other services to allow residents to remain stable in their housing. In 2018, 22 of the 23 low-income, special needs households served (95.7%) had successful housing outcomes (i.e., remained housed in the program or exited to other permanent housing). On average, residents have stayed housed in the program for over 7 years.
