Mission
The mission of the Family Nurturing Center of Massachusetts (FNC) is to work with others to build nurturing communities where children are cherished, families are supported and healthy development is promoted by all.
About
Family support networks: a continuum of community-based programs for families with young children in Dorchester, Roslindale, Hyde Park, Allston-Brighton, and Chelsea that includes newborn home visits, the parent-child home program, parent-baby and parent-child playgroups, parenting support and education, child development screenings, family events, and resource and referral services. Programs build parents' skills as nurturers and teachers, develop children's social-emotional and school readiness skills, and connect families to resources and each other. Nearly 2,944 parents and children were served through FNC's family support network programs in FY 2019 and over 5,000 additional families through the coordinated family and community engagement grant, for which FNC is the lead agent for Boston.
