Ridgeview Medical Center enhanced and provided quality healthcare services for the community of Waconia and surrounding areas. The hospital provided charity care and other uncompensated care in the amount of $869,516 during 2018. The unpaid cost for services provided to Medicaid and Medicare patients was $2,598,414 and $21,377,159 in 2018. Unreimbursed costs associated with the training of healthcare professionals such as high school students shadowing for internships for pharmacy, imaging, dietary, and more totaled $1,216,900. In 2018 the hospital spent $9,084,686 on other uncompensated community services including taxes and fees. The hospital served 6,742 inpatients, 31,221 emergency care visits, 38,460 home health visits, 6,135 surgeries, 1,176 births, 11,260 ambulance calls, and 330,943 outpatient visits in 2018. Ridgeview Medical Center serves more than 300,000 people, operates one hospital, one free-standing emergency and urgent care facility center, and seven multi-specialty clinic locations.
