Mission
Since 1951, the CSO has been proud to serve as central Ohio’s flagship music performance organization. We directly serve over 230,000 each season through 200+ performances and programs, and a broader audience of over two million through radio broadcasts, online media, etc. CSO musicians are interwoven throughout central Ohio, accompanying performances by other companies, performing in other local orchestras, and teaching and coaching young musicians. We are proud to be a community leader in music and arts education, distinguished by a long tradition of excellence, strong partnerships with local schools, and unique programs that have benefited generations of children. Our mission is to inspire and build a strong community through music.
