Our mission is to empower youth and adults with developmental disabilities to pursue their best lives. About
Early work experience/employment services: providing vocational experiences for junior high and high schools and individuals exploring vocations through job skills development in our markets, gardens, commercial kitchens and special events. Our goal is to help farmers gain critical thinking skills and practical vocational experience. Activities occur throughout the school day in two-hour sessions on a weekly, monthly or occasional basis. Participants learned vocational skills by planning, planting, harvesting and selling produce in the garden and learned the aspects of running a market such as inventory, pricing, packaging, cleaning, customer service and sales. In catering, participants learned how to safely prepare and serve food through a wide range of catering events from box lunches to weddings.
