Pogo Park transforms broken and little-used city parks in Richmond, California’s 'Iron Triangle' into safe, green, beautiful public spaces for children to play. The organization uses creative outdoor play as a vehicle for healthy child development and community building, working closely with local residents to reclaim and design parks that serve their needs.[1][4][5]

To hire, train, and empower local residents living in inner-city neighborhoods (many of whom are unemployed, idle, and marginalized) to be full participants in the process of designing, building, and then transforming city parks in their communities into vibrant hubs of community life.
