Survivors of Torture, International provides specialized care and healing services for survivors of torture and trauma resulting from international human rights violations, helping them heal physically, psychologically, and socially, and assisting them to rebuild their lives.

San Diego is home to more than 35,000 torture survivors. Survivors of Torture, International SURVIVORS creates a welcoming community allowing torture survivors to rebuild their lives and regain hope when all hope was lost. Each year, SURVIVORS provides healing services to hundreds of underserved torture survivors, plus hundreds of newcomer youth, who have fled their homelands to seek safe refuge or asylum in the United States. Services include therapy, social-emotional groups, psychiatry, as well as medical and social services case management. Additionally, SURVIVORS offers medical affidavits and psychological evaluations, documentation critical for asylum cases. All services are free of charge for our clients to heal.
