The Spirit of Cleveland was organized to provide programs and infrastructure developed to improve overall visitor experience and provide education and training for Greater Cleveland's hospitality industry. For the first time in 2018, the Organization served as fiscal agent for the BLOCKLAND Solutions conference. In addition, employees from the Convention and Visitors Bureau (a related organization), donated time and resources serving in positions such as Executive Director, Director or Operations, and Director of Events. The blockchain initiative is being undertaken by Cleveland leaders to build a blockchain ecosystem in the Cleveland area.
