Mission

Provide food and clothing to the needy as determined by the county welfare department and local churches.

About

Good Neighbors Inc. began in 1957 and now has seven locations throughout Summit County, Ohio. Good Neighbors is a volunteer run organization with only one paid employee who is part time. All other work is performed by volunteers who provide free groceries and personal items (toilet tissue, soap, deodorant, tooth paste, toothbrushes, layettes and diapers) to approximately 2,000 families each month. These needy families are referred to Good Neighbors by the local welfare department, local churches, shelters, hospitals, and civic organizations. Good Neighbors does not use paid fundraisers but uses in-house volunteers to raise contributions.
