Undergraduate Programs - Valparaiso University enrolls more than 3,000 undergraduate students in more than 70 academic programs that integrate the best of the liberal arts with professional preparation. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Nursing and Health Professions, as well as Christ College, Valparaiso Universitys honors college. Valpo has been named one of the Best Values and Best Undergraduate Teaching universities nationwide for 2020 by U.S. News & World Report. Valpos College of Engineering was also ranked among the Top 15 Undergraduate Engineering Schools in the nation for 2020 by U.S. News & World Report. Valparaiso University sponsors numerous international study opportunities and is recognized as a model in preparing graduates with strong cross-cultural skills and global awareness. The overall placement rate for Valparaiso University graduates from the classes of December 2017 and May and August 2018 was 97%. The overall placement rate has exceeded 90% for 26 consecutive years. Valparaiso Universitys Division I athletics teams continue to succeed in the classroom, with many honors bestowed upon Valparaiso student-athletes by the Missouri Valley Conference for the 20182019 academic and athletic year-eight students-athletes received the Presidents Council Academic Excellence Honor, the Missouri Valley Conferences highest academic honor, 75 student-athletes achieved the Commissioners Academic Excellence Award, and 203 student-athletes were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll. In addition, 13 student-athletes were nameD to the Summit Leagues 20182019 Academic Honor Roll and 60 student-athletes were on the fall 2018 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll.
