Mission

Founded in 1973, the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association has been promoting chamber music via its annual National Competition and other various programs. It annually attracts young emerging chamber ensembles from the nation's top music schools and conservatories. The Competition awards over $35,000 in prize money. Fischoff also sponsors an annual Arts-in-Education Residency, chamber music coaching and Artist of the Month programs for high school students, and Peer Ambassadors for Chamber Music program for 2nd and 3rd graders.

We presented 142 programs during the annual Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition that reached 7,714 audience members, including 6,083 live- stream viewers from 51 countries. Our education and outreach programs during competition weekend reached 1,415 local students and additional mixed age audiences totaling 471. The Fischoff Double Gold tour Featured Gold Medalists of the Senior Division and reached a total of 1,280 people in audiences in the Midwest and additional audiences in Italy. Two WFMT live concert broadcasts for our Gold Medalists reached reached audiences of 21,000 listeners as well as 5,300 users watching via Facebook Live. Fischoff's Mentoring project ensembles performed for a total audience of 4,513 people in Indiana and Michigan (3,443 people in Indiana and 1,070 people in Michigan). In addition to the above reported expenses, we received $25,635 in donated services and facilities for this program.
