3Arts AwardsThe 3Arts Awards offer unrestricted $25,000 grants and community recognition to ten Chicago artists annually. Awardees are selected by five national jury panels that convene in Chicago and are comprised of artists, curators, presenters, and leaders in their fields. The awards program is the entry point to multiyear support that includes project support and residency fellowships in an international network of artist communities. Each new cohort of 3Arts awardees participates in Make a Wave, an artist-to-artist giving program in which they select another 10 artists to receive $1,000 grants. 3Arts has distributed more than $3 million to 700 local artists since 2008.
