Mission
Summit School, Inc. offers two different programs to serve at-risk children. Summit School Early Learning Center is a no-cost preschool program for three- and five-year-old children assessed to be at-risk for developmental delays. The Early Learning Center prepares 130 children each year for kindergarten by building developmentally appropriate academic, language and social/emotional skills. Summit School Special Education Center, founded in 1968, serves an average of 60 students with learning differences in grades kindergarten through high school graduation. Students with learning disabilities, emotional and anxiety issues, or on the autism spectrum attend Summit from more than 25 school districts throughout the Chicago area. Summit School, Inc.'s programs are both state-accredited.
