Transitional housing - These programs, based in Lisle and Naperville, assist homeless young adults struggling with maintaining independence and who currently have no place to reside. The apartments, with staff available seven days a week, provide a secure and supportive environment that can serve residents for a period of 6 to 24 months, with flexibility to ensure the achievement of independence. The staff continue to present to all potential referral sources in the community. Art therapy continues to be provided both individually and in groups. The response has been incredible. Ninety-seven percent of all residents have been linked to mainstream benefits they are entitled to. Seven challenges program addressing co-occurring disorders has been fully implemented into all three programs. All the residents in each program are participating in community service monthly. One hundred percent of all residents have completed the Ansell Casey assessment following admission. All residents in the programs have had their educational needs met through the McKinney Vento Act.
