Instruction - provides a formal educational curriculum in several academic disciplines and includes activities that are part of our instruction departments, including those for credit and noncredit courses, academic and technical instruction. St. Augustine College is a fully accredited not-for-profit private college that awards Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Arts, and Associate of Applied Science degrees. Undergraduate classes are provided for an enrollment of 1,800 students seeking to obtain a college degree. In fiscal year 2018, the college awarded 294 degrees. In the 2017-18 academic year, St. Augustine College was authorized by the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the Higher Learning Commission (the College's regional accrediting association) to offer two new bachelor's degree programs-the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and the Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration provides a solid foundation of knowledge in accounting principles, economics, management theory and behavior, the legal environment of business, marketing, financial management, and human resources. Students choose one of two concentration options: Human Resources or Small Business Operations. The program requires the successful completion of 120 semester credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4-point scale. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems prepares students for employment in the field of information technology. The program begins by building foundational programming skills and then provides three advanced concentrations (students select one): Database Systems Management, Network Systems Administrator, and Web-based Applications. The program requires the successful completion of 120 semester credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4-point scale.
