The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, an Illinois not-for-profit organization, is committed to presenting the finest in international, cultural, community, and educational programming to Chicago and to the continued restoration and preservation of the National Historic Landmark Auditorium Theatre. First unveiled in 1889 by now-legendary architects Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan, the Auditorium Theatre is also a designated Chicago Landmark with a seating capacity of 3,900. As the Theatre for the People, we welcome 265,000 patrons through our doors each year, with more than 1,200 enjoying our historic theatre tours and 11,000 participating in our outreach and education programs taking place onsite and in neighborhoods across Chicago.
