DELIVER SERVICES: INTERFAITH OUTREACH DELIVERS INDIVIDUALIZED AND COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO HELP FAMILIES STABILIZE, STRENGTHEN AND THRIVE. INTERFAITH OUTREACH RESOLVES FINANCIAL CRISES TO HELP PEOPLE MOVE OUT OF POVERTY. IN FY20, 1,951 FAMILIES WORKED WITH US TO RESOLVE THEIR IMMEDIATE CRISES, MEET BASIC NEEDS, AND STABILIZE. 52% OF THESE FAMILIES MOVED FORWARD WITH FEWER EMERGENCY NEEDS, NAVIGATED BARRIERS MORE SUCCESSFULLY, AND CREATED PLANS AND PURSUED OPPORTUNITIES TO ACHIEVE SHORT- AND LONG-TERM GOALS. WE WORK IN THE SIX IMPACT AREAS NOTED BELOW. FOOD: THE FOOD SHELF PROVIDES A FOOD SAFETY NET AND SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCE FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVE ON LOW AND FIXED INCOMES. 68% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR WORK IN FOOD.FAMILY SUPPORT: INTERFAITH OUTREACH CASE MANAGERS WORK SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH FAMILIES IN TIMES OF NEED SUCH AS JOB LOSS, PENDING EVICTION, FAMILY BREAKUP, A MEDICAL CRISIS, ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, CAR REPAIR, CHILD CARE NEEDS AND MORE. IN ADDITION, HOLIDAY AND BIRTHDAY GIFTS, BABY LAYETTES AND OTHER SERVICES ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY IN CARING FOR THE LITTLE THINGS IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY THAT OFTEN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. 80% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR FAMILY SUPPORT WORK.HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOODS: INTERFAITH OUTREACH PROVIDES RENT ASSISTANCE TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS, OFFERS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES WHO LIVE IN NINE MULTI-UNIT HOUSING NEIGHBORHOODS, AND PARTNERS WITH DEVELOPERS TO PRESERVE AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL UNITS IN OUR COMMUNITY. 36% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOODS WORK.EDUCATION AND YOUTH: WE ARE ENGAGED IN A COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVE THAT BRINGS TOGETHER LOCAL EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE PROVIDERS, THE WAYZATA AND ORONO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES DESIGNED TO CLOSE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACHEIVEMENT GAPS AMONG PRESCHOOL, SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN, AND YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY. 25% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR EDUCATION AND YOUTH WORK.EMPLOYMENT: INTERFAITH OUTREACH SUPPORTS ADULTS TO FIND AND KEEP JOBS BY ADDRESSING WORK READINESS BARRIERS, IDENTIFYING AND BUILDING SKILLS, AND IMPLEMENTING INDIVIDUAL JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND TRAINING PROVIDERS TO CONNECT CLIENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES THAT SET THEM UP FOR LIVING WAGE EMPLOYMENT. 11% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR EMPLOYMENT WORK.TRANSPORTATION: INTERFAITH OUTREACH PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE PEOPLE CAN FIND AND KEEP JOBS, A CRITICAL NEED IN THE SUBURBS WHERE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS ARE LIMITED. VOLUNTEER DRIVERS PROVIDE RIDES TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, AS WELL AS ADULT BASIC EDUCATION AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING CLASSES. 18% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR TRANSPORTATION WORK.
