School (Nawayee Center School) program: We provide transformative education, grounded in indigenous lifeways and a love of learning. Our primary goal is to provide quality education in a safe, interdisciplinary learning environment and to enhance the post-secondary readiness of junior and senior high school students in Minneapolis, MN. Ana (Administration for Native Americans) sabe, mental health program for native youth: Native youth increase their mental health/well-being, positive sense of self, social competencies, positive values, commitment to learning, social supports, boundaries/expectations, constructive use of time, and empowerment through arts therapy and OST time support. SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) medicine wheel project: Mental health support for urban indigenous youth at Nawayee Center School. 75 native youth will increase their mental health/well-being, positive sense of self, social competencies, positive values, commitment to learning, social supports, boundaries/expectations, constructive use of time, and empowerment.
