IN SERVING ALL MEMBERS OF ITS COMMUNITIES, BLESSING HOSPITAL CONTINUES THIS TRADITION BY PROVIDING FREE/SUBSIDIZED CARE, CARE TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS AT LESS THAN FULL CHARGES, AND COMMUNITY HEALTH/EDUCATION/WELLNESS PROGRAMS. FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE COST OF CHARITY CARE PROVIDED WAS 9,133,153 AND MEDICARE SHORTFALLS WERE 50,249,890. BLESSING HOSPITAL TREATED PATIENTS THROUGH THE FOLLOWING SERVICES DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019: 39,570 EMERGENCY CENTER AND 30,458 URGENT CARE VISITS; 294,289 OUTPATIENT VISITS; 17,975 SURGICAL OPERATIONS, INCLUDING 135 OPEN HEART SURGERIES, 15,041 INPATIENT ADMISSIONS, AND 1,072 BABIES.
