Mission

Mission: To connect people to the redemptive love and power of God and provide affordable life-transforming resources that foster emotional and relational healing, equipping them to discern and fulfill their purposes in life. Vision: Healing- We are a faith-based counseling center offering hope and guidance to individuals, couples and families in the Lowcountry. Equipping- We equip children and adults to succeed in school and the workplace. Training- We provide professional development and leadership training opportunities to grow in their clinical and theological competence and to offer community wide resources for free or at a reduced cost. About Us: Life Resources is a Christian Mental Health Resource Center serving the Lowcountry of South Carolina. As a faith-based, non-profit organization, we provide affordable life transforming resources in three key areas of healing, equipping and training in a peaceful, safe and confidential setting. We believe that we can only lead and assist to the degree that we live the values we promote. Therefore, we invest highly in our team to develop and position them for personal and professional health. For both clients and staff, we believe healing and growth takes place in a grace filled environment of compassionate care, along with a standard of scientific excellence in faith integrated services. We meet people where they are in life and serve the whole person regardless of their religious views or ability to pay. Accessibility to services drives our scholarship model, based on shared investment between the recipient and Life Resources. For financially qualified clients, professional staff reduce their fees by 10%, the client pays a sliding scale, and Life Resources scholarships fill the financial gap. Similarly every person on our team receives a yearly scholarship stipend to further their personal or professional growth. Grateful client, churches and other organizations regularly partner with us in funding scholarship, modeling the values of working together for the greater good of others. Core Values: Our core values are the heart of Life Resources and serve as the guiding principles by which we live, both personally and professionally. LOVE: "Love your neighbor as yourself" is the basis for truly compassionate care. INTEGRITY: We live what we offer. We live it out personally and corporately with each other and with our clients. FAITH: We recognize that God is the Healer and we are simply His vessels. EXCELLENCE: We strive to be the very best in our professional roles, personal lives, and in the way we do business.

About

In 2019, Life Resources opened a satellite office in Summerville, SC to better serve our community in North Charleston, Goose Creek and Summerville. We also developed a partnership with Doors to Freedom, a non-profit safe house for sex trafficked girls, to provide counseling and consultative services to their residents and staff. We began building mutual referral relationships with Churches in the North area to expand our range of services. Our post-doctoral resident completed his training and clinical supervision with Life Resources clinical director and took his national board exams for independent licensure.
