Physical programs: Memberships include use of fitness center, several gyms, and pool, for approximately 11,559 members. Programs include youth sports, floor and water fitness, martial arts, and after-school bus-in programs. No one is turned away from membership or programs based upon their proven inability to pay. The financial assistance program for membership allows individuals and families the opportunity to be a part of the YMCA membership, promoting healthy habits and encouraging family time together at a reduced monthly rate. In 2019, approximately 3,414 individuals and families received financial assistance for membership, equaling approximately 86,150. The Jackson YMCA is a membership association of men, women, and children of all abilities, incomes, races, and religions. Program fees are structured to be affordable to all. Financial assistance programs equaled approximately 50,550. All youth programs receive subsidy at some level, outside of direct assistance to individuals and families.
