Motivated by the love of Christ, Alpha Grand Rapids exists to promote abundant life by providing holistic services to women and men affected by unplanned pregnancy.

About

Alpha Grand Rapids offers free and confidential services without discrimination or judgment. In 2018, 1,101 families received help through a total of 5,699 adult visits and 1,098 childcare visits. Alpha Grand Rapids provides four main types of services: medical, support, educational and material resources. In 2018, the Medical Services department provided 220 pregnancy tests, 96 ultrasounds for abortion-vulnerable women and 17 STD tests. The Support Services department offers one-on-one mentoring (for women) and coaching (for men) through the Step Up Program, group learning and encouragement through the Single Moms Support Group and haircuts through the on-site salon. In 2018, there were 2,968 hours of one-on-one mentoring and coaching as well as 229 emergency visits for clients who were out of necessary resources such as diapers and formula. Continued on Sch O
