Assistance program - this year our voucher program provided $105,157 in merchandise, furniture and clothing assistance at no cost to 5,961 program participants. The bed program, which provides new beds for individuals and families in need, served 124 individuals this year. The conference assistance program, which helps people with rent, utilities, food, transportation, medical bills, child care and other unique requests, helped 1,742 households this year by providing $120,003 in financial aid. Our next step program provided guidance, support, instruction, and encouragement to individuals and families interested in reducing their dependency on community resources and increasing their own self-sufficiency. Nine volunteers mentored 24 families (58 household members). Two participants graduated from the program and are self-sufficient.
