About
Counseling & Lending Objectives: NeighborWorks Green Bay is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency and adopter of the national industry standards for homebuyer education and counseling. We provide comprehensive pre- and post-purchase education and counseling, foreclosure mitigation counseling, home equity conversion mortgage (HECM) counseling, and financial capabilities training and counseling. We assist homebuyers by providing no-interest, deferred payment second mortgage loans. Achievements: In 2018, we served 720 clients with education and counseling services. 368 prospective buyers completed our homebuyer education classes. 373 clients received one-on-one pre-purchase counseling. 249 clients purchased homes. 103 clients received post-purchase counseling (foreclosure and HECM). We facilitated $32,172,945 of community investment through our clients' purchases of homes. Volunteers: More than a dozen area lenders and realtors volunteered in excess of 108 hours of their time to address our pre- and post-purchase classes and to assist in program planning and product design.
