About this organization
Mission
Eri practices and promotes innovative services that advance employment opportunities, support personal choices, and enhance the well-being of individuals with disabilities across Wisconsin.
About
The Work Incentives Planning & Assistance (WIPA) program is funded by a grant from the Social Security Administration. ERI is the grantee to provide services in Wisconsin. ERI had subcontracting partners: IndependenceFirst in Milwaukee and University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI) in Menomonie, Wisconsin for the first half of 2018. In July 2018, ERI ended the subcontract with SVRI through mutual agreement and hired their staff person on at ERI. Thus for the remainder of 2018 there was only a subcontract with Independence First. The WIPA program provides people with disabilities information about how earnings from work will affect their benefits. People are then able to make informed decisions about work based on accurate and timely information. The WIPA program serves over 300 beneficiaries annually.
