Unidos exists to empower the community to break the cycle of domestic violence, end sexual assault and promote healthy family systems.
About
Unidos provides advocacy and support services to women, men, youth and children victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Latino community of Wisconsin. In addition, Unidos educates the community, and seeks community- driving solutions to end violence in Wisconsin. Unidos advocacy program is dedicated to the prevention, education, prompt reporting, intervention and support of victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families to enhance and improve their quality of life. In 2018 we served 351 unduplicated domestic violence clients, 27 sexual assault unduplicated clients, 192 children and youth and conducted 12 educational presentations in various settings, including the UW Madison, community groups, schools and conferences. Through educational program we served 272 people. We also receive over 800 calls through la red 24/7 helpline.
