The mission of the California Center for Cooperation Development is to promote cooperatives as a vibrant business model to address the economic and social needs of our communities through education, and by providing information and technical assistance.

About

General Cooperative Education and Outreach. CCCD provides education about the various ways the co-op business model can be used to create and save jobs, create housing opportunities, offer child care, help farmers or entrepreneurs join together to gain purchasing power or better compete in the marketplace, increase food security though cooperative owned groceries, and many other opportunities. Education and assistance are provided via our website: www.cccd.coop, public outreach, and responding to email and phone inquiries. CCCD's website logged almost 13,000 unique visitors who used the sites start-up tutorial, downloadable publications, co-op news, videos, and links to additional resources. During 2018, CCCD responded to more than 346 telephone and email inquiries. CCCD also reaches out via Facebook and other social media platforms.
