MN ADOPT is dedicated to supporting and sustaining families who adopt Minnesota Waiting Children by providing online resources and referrals to therapeutic and crisis services, support groups, adoption information and comprehensive training opportunities. MN ADOPT'S ZERO KIDS WAITING PROGRAM PROVIDES RECRUITMENT SERVICES TO IDENTIFY ADOPTIVE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN UNDER STATE GUARDIANSHIP. MN ADOPT MANANGES THE MINNESOTA STATE ADOPTION EXCHANGE, AND ONLINE RESOURCE THAT CONNECTS PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES TO MINNESOTA CHILDREN WHO NEED TO BE ADOPTED. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019, THIS PROGRAM HAD MORE THAN 57,000 CONTACTS WHERE INFORMAITON AND REFERAL WAS PROVIDED, AND 136 CHILDREN REGISTERED ON THE STATE ADOPTION EXCHANGE WERE PLACED WITH ADOPTIVE FAMILIES.MN ADOPT HELP PROVIDES POST-ADOPTION CLINICAL SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND RESOURCE LINKAGE ASSITANCE TO MINNESOTA FAMILIES. COMMUNITY MEMBERS RECEIVE CONSULTATION AND RESOURCES TO HELP THEM SUPPORT ADOPTIVE, FOSTER AND KINSHIP FAMILIES. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019 THE HELP PROGRAM PROVIDED SERVICES TO 346 FAMILIES AND 429 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND PROFESSIONALS.FOSTERING NETWORK WAS LAUNCHED IN MAY OF 2018 AS PART OF THE ZERO KIDS WAITING PROGRAM, FOSTERING NETWORK PROVIDES INFORMATION, SUPPORT AND REFERRAL TO CURRENT LICENSED FOSTER PARENTS AND THOSE SEEKING TO LEARN ABOUT THE FOSTER CARE PROCESS. THE UNIQUE FEATURE OF THIS PROGRAM IS AN ONLINE INQUIRY PLATFORM THAT CONNECTS PROSPECTIVE FOSTER FAMILIES WITH MINNESOTA FOSTER LICENSING AGENCIES. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019 FOSTERING NETWORK HAD 2,558 CONTACTS WHERE INFORMATION AND REFERRAL WERE PROVIDED.MN ADOPT BEGAN PROVIDING POST ADOPTION SEARCH SERVICES IN MARCH OF 2018, WHICH PROVIDE INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO ADOTED PERSONS, BIRTH FAMILIES AND ADOPTVE FAMILIES WHO NEED RECORDS OR HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SEARCH PROCESS. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019 POST SEARCH SERVCIES WERE PROVIDED TO 476 INDIVIDUALS.MN ADOPT'S EDUCATION PROGRAM PROVIDES WORKSHOPS ON ATTACHMENT, TRAUMA, TRANSRACIAL ADOPTION, PARENTING, AND OTHER TOPICS RELEVANT FOR FOSTER ADOPTIVE AND KINSHIP FAMILIES. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019 THE EDUCATION PROGRAM PROVIDED EDUCATION TO 3,058 PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS.
