Shoreview Senior Residence provides housing with services to person age 55 and older. Services that are provided free of charge include an activities program, a fitness program, transportation to medical appointments, outings and shopping, a daily continental breakfast, a pastoral nurse, staffing 24/7, and chaplaincy.Services that are available in independent living at an additional cost include meals, beauty/barber shop, a guest suite, and underground heated parking. There are also two laundry rooms on each floor. Shoreview Senior Residence entered into an agreement with the City of Shoreview MN in 1996, the year it opened, whereby 40% of the total apartment units would be rented to tenants whose income does not exceed 60% of the area median gross income, adjusted for family size, and the rent charged on these units cannot exceed 30% of this amount. The maximum monthly rent currently allowed under this restriction is $975 and $1,175 for one-bedroom and two bedroom apartment units, respectively. Market rate rent for these same units is $1,450 and $1,647. The agreement is in effect through 2021.
