Mission

We provide a broad range of services and programs to improve life quality for individuals and families affected by hemophilia and bleeding disorders.

About

Family education events: HFMD hosts medical education workshops for members, which combine information presentations along with fun activities for people of all ages. Some favorite events for families include visits to Bunker Beach Water Park and Pinz Bowling and Laser Tag Center. 4 family education events were held during the year. Women's education events: Each fall HFMD and our affiliated HTC's host an informative and relaxing weekend for the women with bleeding disorders in our community. These weekends are held in a western suburb of Minneapolis, in a beautiful facility with a lake and walking trails nearby. The participants enjoy informative sessions, as well as sessions that center on the arts and personal care. Also, throughout the year, HFMD in collaboration with Children's Hospitals and Clinics of MN, host three events for mom's of children with bleeding disorders. These events are great information sessions along with opportunities for mom's to socialize, share ideas, and get advice from others who have walked in their shoes.
