During 2018, the auxilary took action around several projects that contributed, as our mission statement notes, to the excellence of the hospital, as well as health issues and needs of the community. They are the following: donated $1,000 to Alexandria's Dollars for Scholars, awarded 4 additional scholarships, totaling $4,000 to local students pursuing further education in health care-related fields, contributed gas cards to nearby Melrose Centracare, supporting their patients going through chemo treatments, participated in the annual 'Parade of Trees' as a fundraiser for hospice and continued work on planning a healing garden, which will replace the Tree of Lights fundraiser.
