Respite program serves over 500 individuals and 50 in the summer program. Finding an experienced caretaker for someone with disabilities can be difficult for families. Respite is the supervised care of a child or adult with intellectual disabilities. Respite can take place in the home or in the community. Respite is also offered in group settings on weeknights, weekends, and during the weekday when school is not in session. Planned activities are age appropriate and promote social skills in a fun and safe environment. The summer day program is held for several weeks in the summer for children who are diagnosed with an intellectual or a developmental disability. The program is curriculum based and focuses on developing and maintaining educational, social, and recreational skills.
