(HEREAFTER HHS) IS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A COMPREHENSIVE CLINIC SYSTEM, LEVEL 1 ADULT AND PEDIATRIC TRAUMA CENTER AND MEDICAL CENTER WITH THE LARGEST EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT IN MINNESOTA, EMS SERVICE, NURSE HOME VISITING PROGRAM AND HOSPICE. HHS IS ALSO RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY FOR LEADERSHIP IN MEDICAL EDUCATION, EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, RESEARCH, AND COMPASSIONATE CARE IN MANY MEDICAL SPECIALTIES.AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2018, HHS OPERATED A HOSPITAL WITH LICENSED CAPACITY OF 894 BEDS AND 65 BASSINETS, OF WHICH 473 BEDS AND 62 BASSINETS WERE AVAILABLE, AS WELL AS 13 PRIMARY CARE CLINICS AND 35 SPECIALTY CARE CLINICS, 6 PHARMACY LOCATIONS, AND EMPLOYED APPROXIMATELY 711 PROVIDERS, 233 RESIDENTS AND 131 PHARMACISTS.THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW $220.8M CLINIC AND SPECIALTY CENTER (CSC) WAS COMPLETED AND OPENED FOR BUSINESS IN MARCH, 2018. THE CSC CONSOLIDATES MOST OF HHS'S EXISTING DOWNTOWN CLINICS IN ONE STATE-OF-THE-ART, SIX-STORY FACILITY AIMED AT IMPROVING CARE, EFFICIENCIES, AND THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE SERVED COMMUNITY. THE CSC REAFFIRMS HHS' COMMITMENT TO PARTNERING WITH ITS COMMUNITY, PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ENSURE ACCESS TO OUTSTANDING CARE FOR EVERYONE, WHILE IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELLNESS THROUGH TEACHING, PATIENT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND RESEARCH.
